Tesamorelin is a GHRH analog studied for visceral fat reduction. Enter your dose, vial size and water to see exact syringe units.
= 1,000 mcg | Typical dose is 1 to 2 mg daily.
1 mg = 1,000 mcg (micrograms). Most peptide protocols are written in mcg.
Common vial sizes are 2, 5 and 10 mg.
For a 10 mg vial mixed with 2 mL bacteriostatic water (5.00 mg/mL), on a U-100 insulin syringe.
| Dose | Volume | Units | Doses per vial |
|---|---|---|---|
| 500 mcg | 0.100 mL | 10u | 20 |
| 1 mg | 0.200 mL | 20u | 10 |
| 1.5 mg | 0.300 mL | 30u | 6 |
| 2 mg | 0.400 mL | 40u | 5 |
The clinical dose is 2 mg once daily. Many people start at 1 mg to judge tolerance.
Inject before bed or in the morning on an empty stomach, and keep the mixed vial in the fridge.
Every step below uses the numbers you entered above.
Swab the rubber tops of the 10 mg Tesamorelin vial and the bacteriostatic water vial with fresh alcohol pads. Let them air dry for a few seconds.
Pull 2 mL of bacteriostatic water into a reconstitution syringe (usually a 3 mL syringe with a 21g needle).
Inject the water against the inside wall of the vial, don't blast it directly onto the powder. This protects the peptide from shear damage.
Gently swirl until the powder is fully dissolved and the liquid is clear. Never shake, foaming denatures the peptide.
On your 100-unit (1 mL) insulin syringe, pull the plunger back until the rubber tip lines up with 20, that's your 1.00 mg dose. Tap out any air bubbles, then inject as directed.
Cap the vial and store at 2–8 °C (36–46 °F). Most reconstituted peptides remain stable for 3–4 weeks refrigerated.
With a 10 mg vial mixed with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water (5 mg/mL), 1 mg is 0.2 mL, which is 20 units on a U-100 insulin syringe.
2 mL is common and gives 5 mg/mL, so every 10 units equals 0.5 mg.
Once daily, usually at bedtime or in the morning, away from meals.
