Research chemical vendors can't legally label products with the real name, so PEG-MGF often appears under coded SKUs. If you're shopping and see any of these, it's the same compound:

  • PEG-MGF
  • PEGMGF
  • Pegylated MGF

What it actually is

PEG-MGF is mechano growth factor with polyethylene glycol attached to extend its half-life from a few minutes to several hours. MGF is the splice variant of IGF-1 released after muscle damage that recruits satellite cells to the damaged fiber.

Injected IM post-workout into the trained muscle, 2 to 3x per week. Standard vials are 2mg. Run 4 weeks on, 4 off.

Why people use it

  • Satellite cell activation for local muscle repair after hard training
  • Fewer injections than standard MGF thanks to the extended release
  • Localized site work alongside systemic GH protocols

How it works

PEGylation extends MGF's half-life from minutes to hours so satellite cell recruitment stays active after training.

Health benefits

  • Local satellite cell activation
  • Targeted muscle repair
  • Fewer injections than plain MGF
  • Complements GH protocols

What you'll feel

  • Localized fullness and soreness reduction
  • Faster site-specific recovery
  • Gradual local growth over weeks

Pros

  • Longer signal than standard MGF
  • Site-specific application
  • Stacks with GH secretagogues

Cons

  • Requires IM injection into the trained muscle
  • Sparse human data
  • Easy to over-inject one site

Side effects to know

  • Injection site soreness and swelling
  • Occasional low-grade fatigue
  • Rare local lump

What to expect

Typical timeline

General pattern for the Muscle category. Individual response varies.

  1. Week 1
Deeper sleep, vivid dreams, possible morning hand tingling — normal GH-axis signals.
  2. Weeks 2–4
Recovery between sessions improves. Modest fullness in muscles from mild water retention.
  3. Weeks 4–8
Body comp changes become visible. Fat drops slightly, muscle looks fuller. Bloodwork check recommended.
  4. Weeks 8+
Cycle off for at least equal time to restore natural pulsatility. Track IGF-1 if running longer.

The reconstitution math

  1. 1Reconstitute the 2 mg vial with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water. Tilt — don't shake.
  2. 2Concentration becomes 1,000 mcg/mL (1 mg/mL).
  3. 3For a 200 mcg dose, draw 0.200 mL — that's 20 units on a 1 mL insulin syringe.
  4. 4One vial gives you approximately 10 doses.

Reminder: 100 units on an insulin syringe = 1 mL. Always start at half the listed dose for the first week and rotate injection sites between arms, legs, abdomen, and glutes.
