NAD+ Dosage Calculator

NAD+ is a coenzyme used for cellular energy protocols. Because vials hold hundreds of milligrams, the math is easy to get wrong. Enter your dose, vial and water to see exact syringe units.

= 75,000 mcg | Typical injected dose is 50 to 100 mg, 2 to 3 times a week.

1 mg = 1,000 mcg (micrograms). Most peptide protocols are written in mcg.

Common vial sizes are 500 and 1000 mg.

About NAD+ dosing

Many people start low, around 25 to 50 mg, because NAD+ injections can cause flushing, nausea or cramping. Inject slowly.

Keep the mixed vial refrigerated and away from light.

Step by step

Reconstitution steps

Every step below uses the numbers you entered above.

  1. 1
    Wipe both stoppers

Swab the rubber tops of the 1000 mg NAD+ vial and the bacteriostatic water vial with fresh alcohol pads. Let them air dry for a few seconds.

  2. 2
Draw 4 mL of BAC water

Pull 4 mL of bacteriostatic water into a reconstitution syringe (usually a 3 mL syringe with a 21g needle).

  3. 3
Add water slowly, down the side

Inject the water against the inside wall of the vial, don't blast it directly onto the powder. This protects the peptide from shear damage.

  4. 4
    Swirl, don't shake

Gently swirl until the powder is fully dissolved and the liquid is clear. Never shake, foaming denatures the peptide.

  5. 5
Draw 30 units on a 1 mL syringe

On your 100-unit (1 mL) insulin syringe, pull the plunger back until the rubber tip lines up with 30, that's your 75.00 mg dose. Tap out any air bubbles, then inject as directed.

  6. 6
    Store refrigerated

Cap the vial and store at 2–8 °C (36–46 °F). Most reconstituted peptides remain stable for 3–4 weeks refrigerated.

Frequently asked questions

How many units is 100 mg of NAD+?

With a 1000 mg vial mixed with 4 mL of bacteriostatic water (250 mg/mL), 100 mg is 0.4 mL, which is 40 units on a U-100 insulin syringe.

How much water do I add to a 1000 mg NAD+ vial?

4 to 5 mL is common. 4 mL gives 250 mg/mL, so every 10 units equals 25 mg.

Why does NAD+ burn or cause flushing?

It is a common reaction. Starting at a lower dose and injecting slowly usually helps.
