MOTS-c Dosage Calculator

MOTS-c is a mitochondrial peptide used for metabolic and energy protocols. Enter your dose, vial size and water to see exact syringe units.

= 2,500 mcg | Typical dose is 2.5 to 5 mg, 2 to 3 times a week.

1 mg = 1,000 mcg (micrograms). Most peptide protocols are written in mcg.

About MOTS-c dosing

Optimization protocols usually use 2.5 mg per dose, 2 to 3 times weekly. Higher autoimmune protocols use about 5 mg with more concentrated mixing.

Swirl gently to mix and keep the mixed vial refrigerated.

Step by step

Reconstitution steps

Every step below uses the numbers you entered above.

  1. 1
    Wipe both stoppers

Swab the rubber tops of the 10 mg MOTS-c vial and the bacteriostatic water vial with fresh alcohol pads. Let them air dry for a few seconds.

  2. 2
Draw 2 mL of BAC water

Pull 2 mL of bacteriostatic water into a reconstitution syringe (usually a 3 mL syringe with a 21g needle).

  3. 3
Add water slowly, down the side

Inject the water against the inside wall of the vial, don't blast it directly onto the powder. This protects the peptide from shear damage.

  4. 4
    Swirl, don't shake

Gently swirl until the powder is fully dissolved and the liquid is clear. Never shake, foaming denatures the peptide.

  5. 5
Draw 50 units on a 1 mL syringe

On your 100-unit (1 mL) insulin syringe, pull the plunger back until the rubber tip lines up with 50, that's your 2.50 mg dose. Tap out any air bubbles, then inject as directed.

  6. 6
    Store refrigerated

Cap the vial and store at 2–8 °C (36–46 °F). Most reconstituted peptides remain stable for 3–4 weeks refrigerated.

Frequently asked questions

How many units is 5 mg of MOTS-c?

With a 10 mg vial mixed with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water (5 mg/mL), 5 mg is 1 mL, which is 100 units. Using 1 mL of water halves that to 50 units.

How much water do I add to a 10 mg MOTS-c vial?

1 to 2 mL. Less water keeps larger doses inside a single 1 mL syringe.

How often is MOTS-c dosed?

Usually 2 to 3 times per week for about 8 weeks, then a break.
